Overview of Features

Please see the features illustrated below for an overview of the lesson structure based on a screen shot of a typical page from one of the lessons. This screen shot identifies the key elements that you will find on most pages of the lessons.

Lesson Elements

Once you have entered the lesson you will see the lesson title on the top banner. Below the banner are the bread crumbs that indicate the section, subsection and activity page you are currently reading. The lessons have three main sections, Sebelum Membaca, Waktu Membaca, and Setelah Membaca,  all of which have a number of subsections with associated activity pages.

Text Interaction

Play the movie to see how to access, resize, and interact with the reading text as you work through the lesson.

On most pages you will have a reading text to open by clicking on the Lihat Teks (See Text) button; this is the text to refer to while answering the questions on that page. It is recommended that you resize the reading text so that you are able to look back and forth between the exercise and the reading text. (See video above)

Using the Feedback Box Features

Play the movie below to see how to submit your answers, receive feedback, keep trying to find the correct answers, and finally proceed to the next page in the lesson.

When the Feedback Box is opened, at the top of the Feedback Box you will see Skor Anda (Your Score) indicating how many of your answers were correct over the total number of questions. In the lower part of the Feedback Box, there are three buttons: Coba Lagi (Try Again), Lihat Jawaban (See the Answers) and Teruskan (Continue) buttons.

Features on the Post-Reading Page

The Setelah Membaca (Post-Reading) page is unique in that there is no feedback offered online. The Post-Reading page is designed to be used as an in-class activity or as a homework assignment. Thus, your teacher will give you feedback on the assignments from this page.

Post Reading Elements
Notice that there is a print icon below the Instruction Box. You will probably want to print this page so that you can refer to it as you complete the assignments in class or at home. Also, be sure to notice that there is often a new text on this page (Lihat Teks Baru). In addition, for your convenience and easy reference, this page offers buttons to the Language and Culture Notes (Catatan), the key Vocabulary Items (Kosakata), and all of the Reading Texts (Lihat Teks) used in the lesson.
